About the role:

We are looking for the best and brightest engineers to join us and grow our engineering team. As an I.T. administrator at Prenetics, you will help shape our engineering culture. You will work closely with our data scientists and our businesses to lead the development and the operation of our data warehouse and data pipelines to help us better understand our customers and drive scientific insights from our growing health data sources. We move fast and develop a lot of ideas so you will have to keep up with our pace and not be resistant to regular product changes. You will be great at prioritising tasks in a busy environment and be able to show that you can hit deadlines and exceed expectations.


IT administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the business in a hybrid workforce model, including our offices in HK as well as our remote users spread throughout the UK, South Africa, and India.
  • Responsible for technical onboarding and offboarding processes which include hardware procurement and collection, laptop setup, accounts setup, and technical orientations for new hires
  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of all IT systems including file share, applications, email, network resources and end user hardware
  • Provide distributed remote support services to users, e.g., remote troubleshooting, hardware repairs, on the ground office support, and owning direct communication & coordination with end users
  • Expand on building out IT documentation for the company, both team only and company knowledge base in Confluence
  • Maintain inventory of all company hardware and software assets owned by IT
  • Handle routine security administration tasks, e.g., software platform audits, security awareness events, technical documentation, user profile reviews
  • Perform off hour preventive routine and emergency network maintenance and firmware upgrades
  • Maintain and recommend improvements for security standards and SOPs in compliance
  • Increase automation and routine task efficiency for the team, with focus improvements for supporting a hybrid model, e.g., zero touch deployment, zero trust policies


Your Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional, applicable experience in information technology field
  • Experience maintaining and upgrading a local area network, i.e., Firewall, Switches, Wi-Fi APs, VPN
  • Experience operating with a ticketing system, e.g., Jira Service Desk
  • Experience writing technical documentation, e.g., Confluence, Google Drive
  • Familiarity with business tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and AWS
  • Experience supporting and working with Windows, MacOS, and Linux
  • Ability to coordinate and cooperate across departments on company initiatives
  • A passion for helping people and solving complex problems
  • Project prioritization and adaptability, must be able to shift focus and pivot quickly
  • IT or computer science degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge in TLS, TCP/IP, network infrastructure and network security
