JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior R&D Engineer will participate in the development process of advanced acoustic technologies and metamaterial products. The job involves designing and performing Lab experiments and testing for airborne sounds, vibrations, and airflow. The study topics are either from the challenges in technology developments or actual problems in industrial practices. The Senior R&D Engineer will work closely with the theoretical physicists to perform the experimental studies of technology and the principles behind it and communicate with product engineers to provide technical support. The successful candidate will support and cooperate with the R&D teams from world-leading companies, give acoustic solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
> The knowledge and experiences in acoustics and metamaterials are required. Experiences in fluid mechanics and aeroacoustics are preferred.
> Strong interest in acoustic fundamentals, material physics, numerical methods is necessary.
> Experiences of performing standard acoustic experiments such as impedance tube testing and free field scanning are required.
> Experience with coding programs of data analysis and hardware control is necessary.
> Minimum 3 years’ experience in R&D and productions of metamaterials. Experiences of leading R&D team and managing project will be highly preferred.
> Building teams for the complete product development process from problem diagnosis and solving to the final product manufacturing.
> Ability to prioritize project commitments while executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
> Ability to work independently but also in small groups. Good communication skills are required.
> Good interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
> PhD degree in physics or engineering fields.
