New Media Designer (12 months Govt Contract, HKD 27K)

Responsibility:

1. To assist in script writing and determining contents to be used in press conference and on social platforms of the Force, taking into consideration the current public sentiment;

2. To assist in writing textual contents for posts to be put on Force social media platforms, into account the collaboration of SMC Section staff;

3. To explore potential topics on social media platforms, with a view to uphold the professional and positive image of the Force;

4. To assist in publicity activities related to Force social media platforms;

5. To perform any other duties as directed by senior officers.

Requirements:

i. have a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent Disciplines related to Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing or Journalism preferred;

ii. assisting in design contents for posts to be put on Force social media platforms, taking into account the collaboration of SMC Section staff;

iv. assisting in design press conference materials, immediate responses for timely rebuttal of issues and rumors on social media platforms, with a view to upholding positive and professional image of the Force;

v. have attained Level 4 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;

vi. have good presentational and interpersonal skills; have excellent spoken and written English and Chinese; be proficient in Putonghua;

vii. be proficient in software applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge on software applications in graphics design and editing, experience in the graphics design and editing considered an advantage;

viii. possess strong interpersonal and communication skills,
