Merchandising Specialist

1) Responsibilities

• Point of contact for the teams regarding availability and replenishment orders from Regional DC to the shops and key accounts

• Manage, provide, forecast and analyse, on a daily basis, relevant KPI’s & metrics like Availability, Days of Stock, Inventory Value & Turns, Missed Sales and Working Capital.

• Decide and evaluate replenishment and distribution settings for products & stores while taking into account factors like sales forecast, delivery days, lead time, safety stock, central stock and fluctuation in sales and lead time. 

• Have a good relationship and frequent contact with retail managers, area managers and occasionally store managers about topics like sales forecast, replenishment, stock levels, promo’s etc. And work closely and have frequent contact with teams like Supply & Demand, S&OP Planning, Logistics, Retail and Marketing about topics like sales forecast, replenishment, promo’s, delivery days, lead time, stock levels and fluctuation in sales and lead time. 

• Prepare regular reports and KPI measurement to facilitate decision making of management under tight timeline

• Proactively search for, work on and implement improvements, chances and other opportunities that will help to improve the shop planning team and supply chain department as a whole

2) Requirements 

• Degree or above in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related discipline

• At least 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Retail or FMCG environment

• Proactive, solution driven and self-motivated. Ability to identify problems, demonstrate use of initiative and implement appropriate solutions.

• Experience in logistics, international freight, payment or invoice processing, customs clearance, shipping documentation is an advantage

• Knowledge of ERP (SAP, MS DAX), advanced in MS office 

• High adaptability and ability to work in cross functional capacity

• Excellent command in both written & spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin
