Teaching Assistant / Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor

Duties

The appointee(s) at the Associate Professor will be responsible for programme development & administration, staff coaching and supervision, course delivery and coordination. The appointee(s) at the Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer level will be responsible for the course planning, development, coordination and delivery in related disciplines at the undergraduate level. The appointee(s) at the Teaching Assistant will be responsible for course delivery (including classroom teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments and examination scripts).

Academic staff might be required to engage in scholarly activities as well as participate in School/University activities and administration. 

Requirements

Applicants for Associate Professor/Assistant Professor should have an earned doctorate in a relevant discipline. They should also have relevant teaching/professional experience including programme development and course administration. A record of research and peer-reviewed publications, involvement in professional and community activities are required. Applicants without a doctorate will be considered for the post of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer. Applicants for Teaching Assistant should have a recognized bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree or equivalent in relevant discipline.

A good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua) is required for all applicants.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage and gratuity, where applicable.
