Full-time Shop Manager

 Dynamic Shop Manager Wanted - Japanese Fresh Fish Retail 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager to lead our thriving Japanese fresh fish retail shop. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a passion for driving profitability and a strong understanding of the retail landscape. 

  

Responsibilities:  

• Oversee and manage our single-location Japanese fresh fish retail store. 
• Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize profitability. This includes:   
• Managing frontline staff recruitment, training, and scheduling.    
• Ensuring smooth daily operations, including customer service, cashier duties, food packing, and stock replenishment.    
• Leading store sales performance and customer service excellence.    
• Planning and executing seasonal promotions.    
• Optimizing visual merchandising and product display.    
• Maintaining high hygiene standards in the kitchen and on the floor.    
• Exploring and expanding both B2B and B2C opportunities.  

  

Requirements:  

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail leadership role, or equivalent. 
• Strong product knowledge of Japanese fresh foods. 
• 3 years experience or above as a Sashimi/Sushi chef. 
• Proven ability to train, coach, and develop a high-performing team. 
• Demonstrated success in driving sales and achieving business results through training initiatives. 
• Experience in a supervisory capacity within retail or customer service sectors. 
• Dependable and collaborative leadership style, open to feedback and always willing to pitch in. 
• Insightful problem solver with a proactive approach to innovation and process improvement. 
• Completion of tertiary education and proficiency in MS Office is a plus. 
• Excellent command of Chinese and English (Japanese language skills will be a plus). 
• Willingness to work shifts according to business needs.
