R&D Chef (Product Development, R&D) Bakery Industry
Key Responsibilities
• Conceptualize and develop innovative food products, menus and recipes that cater to evolving consumer preferences and market trends
• Conduct extensive research and experimentation to identify new ingredients, cooking techniques and flavor profiles on product spec; or refine existing products to enhance quality, flavor, and presentation.
• Develop and test new recipes for bread, cakes, cookies, and seasonal items basic on customer expectations on to-be manufactured products; assists to budget the new recipes with Purchasing team based on GP requirement.
• Maintain to review & improve existing products recipe.
• Record detailed documentation for all product formulations, including ingredient specifications and production processes.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance in all R&D activities.
• Work with the factory various team such as QA/Production , for smooth the opreation, including assist in training production staff on new product techniques and processes.
• Participate in product tastings and sensory evaluations, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
-Diploma or above in product development or related discipline preferred
-***Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (R&D/Product Development)
-***bakery manufacturing industry chef/worker work experience prefer
-Self-motivated, well organized and detail-minded
-Proactive, good interpersonal and communication skill
-Good command in English and Chinese
-PC skills in MS Word, Excel etc.
-Hong Kong permanent resident is a must
