Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in project implementation of learning programmes and preparation of resources that are inclusive for a wide range of visitor with a focus on visual culture;
  • assisting in conducting research in fields such as learning and teaching pedagogy, interpretation strategy, with an aim to offer a range of learning tools that allows for an expanded participation and engagement for all visitors;
  • assisting in building partnerships with schools, and community groups, and cultural organizations; and
  • assisting the Learning and Interpretation team in all events and activities with administrative support.

You should:

  • Possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Museum Education, Museum Studies, Fine Arts, Creative Media, Design, Architecture, Moving Images, Cultural Management or equivalent;
  • Have at least 2 years of work experience in assisting implementation of family, youth or community programmes, preferably in an arts and cultural organization;
  • Have research skills, interest and curiosity for visual culture, pedagogy and museum learning;
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment;
  • Be highly organised and detail-oriented; and
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
