Assistant IT Officer in the Research and E-Learning Unit

Monthly Salary Range: HK$19,970 – HK$35,345

Duties: The appointee will be responsible for maintaining the CAVE system and supporting the use of the developed Virtual Reality (VR) applications for the School. His/Her major duty will be to provide technical support including maintenance and testing of developed VR applications, provide support in delivering VR applications in teaching and learning, support the day-to-day operation of the CAVE system, prepare and conduct the CAVE & VR applications demo, briefing sessions and workshops, as well as other duties as assigned. He/she will also work closely with internal and external parties to maintain the CAVE system and VR applications development.

Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Design/Digital Media or related disciplines plus 1-2 years relevant working experience. They should possess technical development skills in e-learning content design and development. Knowledge and experience with VR development and 3D graphic applications is necessary. Solid experience in building software with Unity is preferred. Experience in project coordination, 3D modeling, photo/video production, lighting and scene assembly will be a definite advantage. They should also be independent, a good team player and able to work under pressure. Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong sense of responsibility and good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese are required.

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
