IT Specialist (Systems Infrastructure, up to $32K)

Our client is a leading university and one of the best universities in HK with world-class research in multiple disciplines making bold advances to break new ground. We are currently looking for a Specialist to join their team. 

Job Responsibilities:

The appointees will work in the Systems Infrastructure Services Section and will be required to:
•support computer systems and facilities in the Central Computer Rooms;
•support the University’s cloud infrastructures;
•support service automation and streamlining of workflows;
•act as a team member to contribute to the challenging projects;
•handle incidents and perform troubleshooting to fix issues;
•work outside normal office hours whenever necessary; and
•perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delega.

 

Job Requirements:

Applicants should:

•have a recognised degree or diploma in  Computer  Science, Information Technology or a related discipline;
•have at least three years of relevant working experience for diploma holders;
•be ambitious to develop a career in the field of IT System Infrastructure;
•be able to work independently, self-initiative, willing to learn and accept responsibilities;
•preferably have knowledge of and experience in server OS and virtualization such as Windows, Linux and Hyper-V; and
•be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Applicants with less experience or fresh graduates will also be considered.

 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service:

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
