Our client is a leading university and one of the best universities in HK with world-class research in multiple disciplines making bold advances to break new ground. We are currently looking for a Specialist to join their team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The appointee will work in the User Services Section of the department and will be required to:

• provide consultation and assistance to the University’s staff, students, users and clients at the ITS Help Centre via hotlines, on-site for both on- and off-campus, and other established channels;
• install, maintain and trouble-shoot various computer systems including desktop equipment and software, in particular PCs, Mac, mobile/tablet devices, Microsoft O365, Microsoft Office and other popular software;
• liaise with users, staff, students and other parties as necessary to solve users’ IT-related problems;
• perform evaluation, implementation, administration, review and enhancement of the new systems;
• prepare user guides and training materials, as well as conduct user training demonstrations and workshops;
• work on shift and perform support service on a roster basis, as required; and
• perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delega.

 

Job Requirements:

Applicants should:

•have a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline;
•preferably have at least one year of relevant experience;
•have initiative, capability and readiness to accept new responsibilities and challenges;
•demonstrate ability as a good team player;
•have excellent interpersonal and customer services skills; and
•have ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

 

Preference will be given to those with knowledge of and working experience in using Microsoft, handling software deployment and arranging video conferencing.

Fresh graduates will also be considered.

 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service:

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
