Product Director

 Job Description 

• Formulate product strategies and business plan to drive business growth and profitability 
• Initiate and drive new product development to maintain competitiveness 
• Attend meetings with sales team to understand clients’ needs, evaluate the feasibility and provide solution. 
• Participate in performance tracking of new products, managing the product life cycle from planning, production to execution through close liaison with business partners and internal stakeholders 
• Determine specifications, perform analysis, coordinate prototype design and testing. 
• Source with different suppliers to collect and gather necessary information, then prepare proposal for clients to ensure profitability. 
• Make site visits to monitor the progress of the production. 
• Ongoing identify and expand supplier base to achieve cost reduction and quality improvement in order to provide better products and services.  
• Prepare status report for both internal and external stakeholders. 
• Conduct market research and keep updated on technology trends. 
• Work with various teams such as vendors, manufacturing, engineering and others to support and manage the product development. 
• Communicate, resolve risks and issues, and coordinate changes related to product development 

 

Requirements 

• Bachelor degree holder, MBA preferred 
• 5+ years' experience in Battery, Electronics or related industry  
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, from concept to production. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership and problem-solving skills. 
• Good command of spoken and written English & Mandarin is a MUST 
• Experience in China market and working with China vendors will be an advantage.
