Head Barista

Roles & Responsibilities

· Have a full understanding of the coffee culture and is keen to connect and share such knowledge with guests.
· Greet and serve guests in a personalized, polite and friendly manner.
· Take orders and process card and cash payments with care.
· Prepare and serve all food & beverage items on the menu; collect feedback from guests and provide recommendations on the menu items to the management.
· Monitor the day-to-day operation of the café and ensure that the Baristas and Coffee Shop Assistants will provide guests with exceptional service and engage guests in delightful conversations.
· Maintain a high standard of sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene in the café in accordance with health and safety regulations.
· Order, receive and distribute stock supplies; conduct regular stocktake and responsible for minimizing wastage.
· Generate revenue by attracting new customers, increasing sales and spend, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the coffee industry trends, culture and market.
· Monitor the float and closing duties, including storing reusable goods, noting breakages, and returning equipment to proper locations.
· Provide on-the-job training for Baristas and Coffee Shop Assistants with passion, patience and dedication.
· Handle guests’ complaints and resolve issues in a prompt and professional manner. 

Requirements:

· 3 - 4 years’ experience in café operations serving high quality coffee in a fast-paced environment including 1 year in a supervisory role.
· Hotel working experience is preferred but not essential.
· Passionate about coffee and is interested in connecting with people.
· Mature, pleasant, detail-minded, customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills;
· Strong sense of responsibility and always fosters a positive energy at work.
· Good communication skills and high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese.
