The Hong Kong Ice & Cold Storage Company Limited, HKICS, was established in August 1896 and has been serving local community over 120 years. Combining with production capacity & distribution network of four company-owned ice plants, the company is the leading ice supplier in Hong Kong. The company is the first licensed food factory granted by the Food, Environmental & Hygiene Department to manufacture & distribution edible ice for immediately consumption; adding together with distribution coverage serving by our own reefer fleet, our delivery covers all over Hong Kong. Apart from selling industrial & edible ices, the company also distributes food grade dry ice to air catering. Our racking cold store and logistics team provides cold chain services to the premium foodstuff clients.

The company-owned ice plants are located at Aberdeen, Yau Tong Bay, Castle Peak and Tai Po with total production and storage capacity of 1,600 ton per day and 2,200 ton respectively. The edible ice operation comprises of sanitary manufacturing and packaging systems with production capacity of 200 ton per day and equips with 30 reefer trucks to support direct sales & distribution. Besides, the cold store located in Aberdeen, has storage capacity of 9,500 ton or 8,100 pallets space; serving jointly with our reefer trucks, the company has developed cold chain service to the premium foodstuff and dry ice clients.
