Responsibilities:

  1. Support the STEM course instructor in delivering engaging and interactive lessons to students.
  2. Assist with preparing course materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and hands-on activities.
  3. Provide individualized attention and guidance to students, addressing their questions and concerns.
  4. Facilitate group discussions, experiments, and projects to enhance students' understanding of STEM concepts.
  5. Monitor students' progress, track their performance, and provide feedback to the instructor.
  6. Assist in maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
  7. Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to optimize the learning experience for students.
  8. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training programs as required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Passion for STEM education and a strong desire to inspire and guide students.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  5. Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of different ages and backgrounds.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Experience working with students in an educational or mentoring capacity is preferred.
