Director of Payment Legal Affairs 支付法务总监

Job Responsibilities:

1. Legal & Compliance Management

Monitor updates to payment-related laws and regulations to guarantee corporate operations comply with local and international payment regulatory rules.

Formulate and update internal compliance policies and procedures, covering AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer) and other relevant rules.

2. Contract Administration & Negotiation

Draft, review and negotiate contracts with payment system providers, financial institutions and third-party vendors.

Ensure contractual clauses are legally compliant and safeguard the Company’s legal interests.

3. Risk Management

Identify and assess legal risks arising from business operations, propose preventive measures and remedial solutions.

Participate in formulating risk management strategies to mitigate potential litigation exposures for the Company.

4. Legal Awareness Enhancement & External Liaison

Provide daily legal advisory support to internal departments and respond to legal inquiries.

Maintain regular communication with regulatory authorities and promptly implement regulatory mandates.

Manage engagements with external legal counsel to resolve sophisticated legal matters.

Deliver periodic internal compliance training to improve employees’ legal awareness.

 Job requirements:

1.Hold a bachelor’s degree in law and pass China’s National Judicial Examination; proficient in written and spoken English.

2.Minimum 5 years of in-house legal experience within payment or financial industries with proven capabilities in contract drafting and negotiation.

3.In-depth knowledge of payment regulatory laws covering electronic payment, bank card transactions and cross-border payment.

4.Strong sense of responsibility, capable of high-efficiency work under pressure; excellent teamwork and cross-department communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior working experience at multinational corporations

Possession of relevant compliance certification
