Temporary Research Assistant in the School of Science and Technology - (R6253) (to commence as soon as possible for six months, with the possibility of renewal)The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator of the Research Project “Development of a robust analytical method for organophosphorous compounds in waters” (R&D Project R6253).
DutiesThe appointee is responsible for the following duties:1. Conduct experimental research as instructed by the investigator;2. Perform data analysis, assist in report writing and presentation of the results;3. Collect environmental samples from different locations;4. Assist in literature searching; and5. Carry out other research activities as instructed by the investigator. RequirementsApplicant should possess:1. A Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related discipline;2. Good experience in chemical analysis and operation of LC-MS/MS;3. Experience in environmental sampling and/or microbiology will be an advantage; and4. Strong sense of responsibility, effective organisation and good communication skills.Duration of AppointmentSix months commencing from December 2018 or as soon as possible.Terms of AppointmentSuccessful candidates will be appointed on temporary full-time fixed term contract.
