Department of Biomedical Engineering

Technician

The appointee may be responsible for some of the following duties: (a) handling laboratory/project administration, development and supervision of student training; (b) overseeing hardware/software installation and development, IT support, purchase and maintenance support of biomedical engineering equipment; and (c) providing technical support to the development of experiments and research projects for the research laboratory in biomedical engineering (including Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine, Biomedical Devices and Biosensors, Biomolecular Engineering and Nanomedicine, Medical Imaging and Informatics).

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) or Sciences (e.g. Chemistry, Life Sciences, Physics, etc.) or related fields.  Possession of at least 1 year’s relevant post-qualification work experience or a relevant Master’s degree is preferred.

Appointment will be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
