Part-time Instructor for Life Planning Curriculum - (18001FK) 

Job: Temporary/Part-time Academic School/Unit: Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education Closing Date: 19/Oct/2018, 11:59:00 PM  

Duties

The appointees will be responsible for teaching life planning curriculum (including workshops, talks, seminars, training courses, experiential learning activities etc.) to students and teachers of secondary schools on a part-time basis (including day-time or evening on weekdays or weekends).

They may be required to conduct the teaching / training in Cantonese or English where appropriate.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a relevant bachelor’s degree, preferably in the subject areas of Psychology, Counselling or Social Work, with at least 1 to 2 years’ relevant working experience. They should have good knowledge of career assessment tools / instruments (qualitative and quantitative); good command of English and Chinese; and strong sense of responsibility and interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to those possessing the professional qualification of Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) / GCDF Trainer / those who have direct and updated experience in career guidance / counselling, life planning or coaching for students and teachers in secondary schools. Applicants with lower qualification but with substantial working experience may also be considered.

All shortlisted applicants may be invited to have teaching demonstration during the interview.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time fixed term contract.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
