Duties
The appointee is responsible for the following duties:
- Mainly be responsible for the planning, development, coordination and delivery (including classroom teaching) of courses, and where necessary, programme administration in Economics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- In particular responsible for establishing proactive liaison with tertiary education institutions in Mainland China and other relevant stakeholders; and
- Participate in scholarly activities, School/University activities and administration.
Requirements
Applicants are required to possess the following:
A higher degree, preferably an earned doctorate in Economics;
As a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, he/she should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua) as well as strong public speaking skills, and be self-driven, innovative and able to work under pressure;
Prior knowledge about the Mainland’s education sector and willingness to travel to the Mainland and overseas countries for programme promotion and student recruitment;
Good academic and professional network for promotion of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; and
Relevant teaching experience in higher education institutions and teaching experience in Mandarin at postgraduate level and working experience in the Mainland will be a definite advantage.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage and gratuity, where applicable.
