Company: Lifespans, Ltd. – a privately-financed medical device startup (~12 staff) 

Location: Hong Kong Island (near Wong Chuk Hang Station on the MTR South Island Line) 

Position: Scientific Officer 

Role: Join our tight-knit team, working directly with our Chief Scientific Officer to run research & development operations including: (1) Developing experimental protocols; (2) Managing testing with external laboratories and clinical research organizations; (3) Managing grant-funded research projects; and (4) Writing up results for journal publications and patents in collaboration with world-class universities and multinational companies.

Education: BS / MS / PhD in science, engineering, medicine, mathematics, or related discipline 

Experience: Laboratory research experience required, with results published in peer-reviewed journal publications and/or academic conference proceedings. Fluent technical communication in English is required for this role. Technical communication skills in other languages (Chinese, German, etc.) are a plus. 

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience (HK$25,000 – 40,000+ per month starting range), plus annual bonus, health insurance, and additional paid leave above statutory minimums including maternity/paternity/etc.
